英语倒装的用法重点知识讲解精析精讲
1. 在“there be”结构里，there是引导词，主语在be后。
在“there + be”结构中的谓语动词有时不用be , 而用表示类似“存在”观念的其他不及物动词。如：live, stand, come, lie, flow, enter, rise 和appear等。（完全倒装），如：
There came shouts for help from the river. 从河边传来了求救声。
There lies a large wheat field in front of the house. 房子前面有一大片麦田。
Many years ago there lived an old man in the wooden house. 许多年前在木屋里住着一位老人。
2. 在疑问句中。如：
Is she singing in the classroom？ 是她在教室里唱歌吗？
What does your mother do？ 你母亲是做什么的？
3. 在here，there等副词开头的某些句子里（要用一般现在时态）。如果主语是人称代词，主语和主要动词的词序不变。（完全倒装），如：
Here is an apple for you. 这个苹果是给你的。
There she comes. 她过来了。
4. 重复倒装句型，用在以so， nor， neither开头，表示谓语所述的情况也适用于另一个人或一事物的肯定或否定句中。so用于肯定句，表示“也一样”“也这样”；nor， neither用于否定句，表示“同样也不，也不这样”。如：My parents didn't watch TV last night. Neither （Nor） did I. 我的父母昨晚没有看电视。我也没有。
She is busy doing her homework. So is her brother. 她正忙着做家庭作业。她的哥哥也是。
注意：表示两人的同样一个情况时，只能表示一件事，即上、下句所使用的动词、时态要一致。否则要用so it is with…，如：
His uncle is a worker and has been working in the factory for more than ten years. So it is with his aunt.
他的叔叔是一名工人，在工厂工作了十多。他姑姑也是如此。
5. 直接引语的全部或一部分放在句首时，主句中的主谓也常直接倒装。（完全倒装），如：
"Very well，" said the French student. “很好，”法国学生说。
"Bring me two eggs and a cup of tea，please." said he. “请给我两个鸡蛋和一杯茶，”他说。
6. 在以hardly(scarcely), never, not, not only, little, few，seldom, no sooner…(than), not until, no where等否定或半否定意义的副词、连词放在句首时要用倒装句，采用部分倒装。如不放在句首就不要倒装。，如：
Little did he say at the meeting. 他在会上几乎不说话。
Never shall I forget the day when I joined the Army. 我永远忘不了我参军的那一天。
Not once did we visit the city of our own. 我们一次也没有访问过我们自己的城市。
Hardly(Scarcely) had he reached the station when the train started. 他刚到车站，火车就开了。
Seldom in all my life have I met such a determined person. 我一生中很少遇到如此坚定的人。
Not until he shouted at the top of his voice did she turn her head. 直到他尖声喊叫，她才转过头来。
